Jama Masjid, Agra
 

Built in 1571 A.D., Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosque in India. The masjid was erected in commemoration of Sheikh Salim Chisthi and his grandson Islam Khan by Jahanara Begum, Shahjahan's daughter, who was imprisoned with Shah Jahan by Aurangzeb.

The mosque has an elegant architecture and have the Tomb of Royal ladies and Jammat Khana hall within the Courtyard.The masjid endorses beautiful decorated paintings inlaid stones, carvings and glazed tiles

The tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti is worth seeing. Initially it was built in red stone and was later changed in marble by Jahangir. It's lattice screens are the most intricate and beautiful in the world. It has tomb of Islam Khan, and Sufi shrine or 'dargah'.
