Raj Ghat, Delhi
 

Close to Red Fort, there are number of memorial built in their honor. But Raj Ghat is distinct from them as it houses the grave of Mahatma Gandhi, Father Of Nation. Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated while coming out On January 30th , 1948. The memorial was designed by Vanu Bhuta and is converted into a National Museum.

The interiors of the memorial is adorn with ornamental ponds and well maintained lawns. The Gandhi Darshan, a small museum in the close vicinity, depicts the various aspects of Gandhi's life. Situated near Yamuna river, Raj ghat has a square platform with "Hey Ram", the last word of Bapu, inscribed on it.
